Dan Threlkeld is a multiple Emmy winning meteorologist, recognized as Oklahoma’s Most Accurate Forecaster.
His expertise spans over four decades of experience in both meteorology and communications, with a focus on educating the public about
weather and storm preparedness.
Threlkeld holds two degrees: a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
His career includes storm chasing, during which he reported live from various disaster sites, including tornadoes and hurricanes as well as covering significant weather events such as ice storms, floods, and blizzards.
Threlkeld is also a Master Gardener and a sought-after speaker, regularly addressing schools, businesses, and civic groups on topics related to weather safety and storm preparedness. He is currently working on a book focused on weather folklore.
Threlkeld was an ultra-marathoner and an Ironman triathlon finisher. His most cherished achievement, however, is his enduring marriage of 46 years to his high school sweetheart. Together, they have two grown children and two grandchildren.
