Carissa Daniels is a wife and a mother to four incredible children 10, 8, 6 and 4. She started her Sourdough journey 6 years ago when she was looking for an alternative for her family. It didn’t take long for her to fall in love with the process and find a true passion in it. Sourdough is extremely complex, so she spent many years learning everything about it and creating multiple different recipes for others.
After many years of just baking it, she started to realize that baking for others wasn’t her true passion, it was talking about it and teaching others how one jar of starter could change their lives.
So, in 2023 she opened a store called This & That Candles and More, which is a small local business in the Owasso Redbud District. They offer a wide range of locally made products in their storefront, but they also have an event area where she teaches Sourdough Workshops and many other creative workshops. She wanted to create a place where people could come together and learn different talents, especially Sourdough.
Social media will scare many people away from ever starting this journey and her goal was to not allow that to happen. She truly takes pride in teaching others and is proud to say that she has helped thousands with their Sourdough journey. It can change lives and she is extremely passionate in showing others just how.
