Leon Sloan was born and raised on a farm near Wynnewood, Oklahoma. In 1945, when Leon was six, his dad put him on a tractor raking and bailing hay. Leon was hooked on farming. By age 20 Leon was into greenhouse gardening in southern Oklahoma and has been growing plants and food in the same location for over 55 years. He has been building high tunnel hoop houses for other people for over 40 years. Leon has a passion for teaching & sharing his gardening knowledge with folks. He continues to introduce innovative ideas to improve greenhouses & is very well known for his self-wicking gardening tubs.
